About Us


Dan Coogan and Kip Martin began their careers in Nogales, Arizona as associates in the firm of Larson, Soto & Arana. Kip began at the firm in February 1987. Dan arrived in 1989. As new lawyers, Dan and Kip had the opportunity to learn from the excellent and experienced partners E. Leigh Larson, James A. Soto and Kimberly H. Arana.


In 1993, after the departure of Mrs. Arana and the untimely death of E. Leigh Larson, Dan, Kip and Jim formed the firm of Soto, Martin and Coogan, P.C.. Dan, Kip and Jim practiced together until 2001 when Jim was appointed Presiding Judge of the Santa Cruz County Superior Court and later was appointed as a Judge for the United States District Court in Tucson, Arizona.

From 2001 to the present, Dan and Kip through the firm of Coogan & Martin, P.C. have continued the firm's tradition of hard work and bringing the highest technical and ethical standards to the representation of their clients.


Coogan & Martin is now located in the historic village of Tubac, Arizona where it has moved its offices after 37 years in Nogales, Arizona.
